Process Improvement Engineer (Forecasting Budgets)

Introduction

The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI) Research Computing Platform (RCP) is seeking dedicated interns to research and evaluate ways to forecast budgets, given the complexity of funding restrictions.

The ideal candidates will leverage their backgrounds in finance, R/Shiny, or mathematics/statistics to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team.

This project will seek to improve on a proof of concept that streamlines the processes of data creation, updates, and finalisation for budget forecasting. The goal is to maximise flexibility and minimise the potential for human error that could output an Excel spreadsheet for further analysis.

To integrate seamlessly into the existing infrastructure, the initial concept involves creating a user-friendly application that can read in an ERP spreadsheet, allowing users to efficiently create, update, and finalise budget forecasts in a consistent approach.
